Morning Routine for a Busy Mom by Alaina Winch 
 
When I first became a Mom, I was of the belief that I ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ to let my daughter be my alarm. The only problem was, I would wake up scattered, stressed, and in ๐๐ž๐Ÿ๐ž๐ง๐ฌ๐ž mode, which is a really hard pattern to break.โฃ

But, as I got into online health coaching, and especially dug into this book called, ๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜”๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ ๐˜”๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ, I started changing my ways. Slowly, but surely, I altered my habits toward starting my days in ๐Ž๐…๐…๐„๐๐’๐„, and that’s when it all became so much...easier, more productive.โฃ

Here are some things I still do, 4 years later, to make my mornings count:โฃ
 
  • ๏ธ๐˜“๐˜ข๐˜บ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ต ๐˜ฎ๐˜บ ๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ฌ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ต ๐˜ค๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด the night before right outside my bathroom door.โฃ
  • Have my tub of ๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ฌ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ต, my mason jar glass, and an insulated water bottle full, sitting on my bathroom counter ready to mix + drink first thing. I usually drink about 20-30 ox of cold water this way, too, which starts my metabolism and wakes me up.โฃ
  • ๏ธKeep my scheduled ๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ฌ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ต ๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜จ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ฎ ๐˜ค๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ๐˜ข๐˜ณ hanging around my workout area, so that I know what I’m doing. I also write the duration of each workout on there, and look at them both the night before.โฃ
  • Listen to a personal development book, podcast, read my ๐˜ฅ๐˜ข๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜บ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ท๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ญ + ๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜บ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ, and take a few moments to think about the way I should allow my day to go.โฃ
  • ๏ธHead downstairs, get out my weights or needed equipment, have a little pre-party dance session, log into our virtual gym on Zoom, and ๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ด ๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜บ.โฃ

It’s amazing how those step-by-step habits have ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜บ altered my life. After doing all of them, I then have time to work my coaching business, tackle 1-2 household chores for the day, and am able to set out shoes + breakfast for when the girls wake up so we can all go through the motions and have time left for prayer + Bible story reading (some days these happen in the car + at lunch #momlifebelike).

I fully believe anyone can ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ a morning person, if they want to. Heck, if my hubs can do it (which was pivotal for our family life, by the way), then anyone, and I mean ๐€ ๐ ๐˜ ๐Ž ๐ ๐„ can!
